The Prince of Wales has appointed Katy Perry as an ambassador for his British Asian Trust, supporting the charity's work 'reducing child trafficking and abuse across India over the next five years'.
The Roar hitmaker joined Prince Charles at an annual reception and dinner in London this week, where the announcement was made, and commented 'I am especially honoured to be named an ambassador for the British Asian Trust and to use my voice to shine a light on the work that the British Asian Trust will be doing in South Asia, and to be a part of finding solutions to protect children from exploitation and abuse'.
